Our children have been weaponized for political gain. They hurt our district, our admin, our teachers, and our students. They do not care who they hurt or how much it costs, as long as they get power. The most vulnerable students were ignored by the very person they asked for help. They lied, children cried.
One example.
6 May 2022: CBSD Admin suspends middle school teacher Andrew Burgess when they discover he was withholding evidence of severe abuse of vulnerable students from the district.
11 July 2022: Central Bucks School Board Director Karen Smith emails the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) in the Department of Education, falsely claiming that the district has “suspend[ed] an exemplary teacher for protecting a transgender student” with many other claims.
6 October 2022: OCR opens three more federal investigations into our schools and teachers based on her report, almost word for word.
15 November 2022: School board votes to hire outside counsel to investigate the above allegations. Ms. Smith does not mention she requested these federal investigations in the first place.
